Cell cycle is the series of events that happen as cells grow and divide. All organisms rely upon cell division for reproduction, repair and growth. However, the steps of the cell cycle are complicated for students and require time and practice to understand. Thus, this cell cycle game has been designed with the objective to make student understand the events taking place in the cell during cell cycle. This game uses a roulette wheel format to challenge students to use what they know about cell division to play a game in which they identify phases of cell division (mitosis). This game enhances students knowledge on cell cycle in the following ways: - Provides a comprehensive coverage of the cell cycle. - Challenges students to identify the stages of the mitosis cell cycle by matching the phases with the descriptions. - Aids students in recalling key concepts of the stages of the cell cycle. This game is an excellent way to reinforce the topic on cell division and discover the events that occur in each phase of the cell cycle. So, can you identify the stages of the cell cycle?
